Caption: "At the July 25 rededication of the African-American Institute's Amilcar Cabral Center, Anna Maria Cabral (right), wife of the slain Cape Verdean Leader, accepts civil rights movement mementos from Ronald Bailey, chair of African-American Studies (left), and Institute Director Keith Motley. University President John A. Curry, who attended the ceremony, said, 'For many years, the Cabral Center has served as a home on campus for our large black student population. We are very proud of our many black students who have gone on to contribute to society in so many different ways due to the influence of the Institute and its staff.'"
