<mods:abstract>Interview with Rev. Charles Pratt, pastor of Victory Church of God in Christ in Pittsfield, Mass. Rev. Pratt was born in Columbus, Ohio. His father was a Tuskegee Airman, and as a child Charles lived in the Azores and other places. Charles loved music in school, and really began to like school in college, Ohio State University, where he has a scholarship and studied psychology. He worked at the Battelle Memorial Institute, and always involved in the church, also began a practice of ministry as a traveling evangelist. He and his new wife Evelyn began to have children; he chose a life in ministry, and the two of them often traveled together, with young children, Evelyn often played the organ during his ministry. He was offered the ministry of Victory Church of God in Christ in 1980, and they moved to Pittsfield. He has been active in social justice and community work, including leading a group called C.A.R.E., and serves on the board of the Berkshire Athenaeum. He and Evelyn have a radio show on WBRK; Rev. Pratt also writes books on matters of the spirit.</mods:abstract>
