Boot last, in two halves, originally accessioned as 2017.FIC.4 and 2022.FIC.10. Description for 2017.FIC.4 (front half of boot last): Wooden boot last, 16" long, with various metal fittings to adjust foot, screw hole on top to attach to another piece (2022.FIC.10). Description for 2022.FIC.10 (back half of boot last, originally accessioned as unidentified object): The item is made out of a large piece of wood and metal parts. The wood is roughly cylindrical, but narrower at one end and mostly flat on one side. The flat side has an indent on one edge, and part of the mechanism is visible. There is a metal rod, with a loop on the end, at the wider end of the cylinder that continues into it and ends halfway down. The rod can be turned. It ends in a large bolt, and some of the screw threads are visible. Following the bolt is a small piece of metal that can swing slightly. There are nails in the wood on either side of the piece. The indent ends soon after the metal piece.
