<mods:abstract>This watercolor on paper depicts a bearded man presenting a woman in white robes wearing gold bracelets to man in a red and blue robe. A man and woman at the left side of the scene look on. At the center, behind the main group, a blackman holds a camel's bridle. Palm trees flank the distant mountains, and clouds are visible in background. The brushwork is distinctive and the rendering of faces and forms is naive, without much shading or perspective. The painting is most likely a copy of an engraved illustration of the Biblical story of Isaac and Rebekah.</mods:abstract>
