It was republished in "Ballou's Dollar Monthly Magazine" in October, 1860. Greely Stevenson Curtis had a summer estate at Manchester, Massachusetts. Curtis installed the Hancock House staircase in this house in 1869, as described in "Historic New England magazine, " Summer 2005, p. 3.</mods:abstract>
