Commode with conforming top has projecting center section and two narrower receding sections; carved and gilded cornice; and gilded egg-and-dart molding above base. Fronts of side sections have burled walnut veneer framed by gilded moldings forming vertical rectangles with concave corners; front of center section has an Asian-inspired painting framed by gilded moldings forming a square with concave corners and applied gilded c-scrolls. Draperies have a large-scale floral motif on a blue-green ground. Title, dimensions, and "110 Mirror 685" are handwrittten in pencil. Embossed at lower left corner is: "Irving and Casson / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
