  <mods:abstract>Album of design drawings produced by A. H. Davenport Co. titled: "Commodes. Wash-Stands. Clothes Poles. Umbrella Stands. Wardrobes." The title is printed on the spine in gold on a red leather label. The company name is printed in black on the front cover; the volume number "14" is also printed in black on the spine. Album has a beige fabric covering and 212 pages. There are ten pages which have 27 pencil drawings on trace affixed with glue. The remaining 202 pages are blank A printed table of contents is glued inside front cover and includes the categories noted in the album's title. Drawings depict a variety of furniture forms including commodes, night stands, washstands, clothes poles, umbrella stands, and wardrobes manufactured by the firm. Drawings often contain handwritten information including dimensions, wood type, model numbers, date, customer name and detailer initials. Named customers include: Mrs. C. B. Alexander; S. T.
