John Rothacher graduated from Springfield College in 1914 and coached varsity football and varsity track at his alma mater from 1924 until his resignation during the spring of 1937. Rothacher was inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1975. This lantern slide is part of a series called "The Story of the Cinema of Springfield College." Its alternate title is “Being the Story of a Young Man who elects to go to Springfield College.” The presentation was likely given during the 1930s and included images of campus buildings, faculty, and students engaged in athletic and cultural activities.
