Interview with Irene Reynolds conducted by Susan Wick. Reynolds talks about the Readville area of Hyde Park. She briefly talks about Camp Meigs where the 54th Massachusetts Infantry trained during the Civil War and the Readville Race Track, both of which were located in Readville. Reynolds also mentions that she is the current president of two women’s clubs, the Hyde Park Thought Club and the Hyde Park Current Events Club. Reynolds describes a home for women who had “come upon hard times” founded by Mrs. Pratt. Other topics include the Sumner Tunnel and sulky racing (harness racing).
