Lyman describes problems with continued boring, progess on levelling (in reference to specific map points), and several computational errors that have affected work at Beaver Meadow since Mr. Lesley's last visit. He orders fifty pounds of "the very best quality steel," to be used in by Mr. McHugh for boring bits.
