<mods:abstract>Amputation kit in simple wooden box. Box has no exterior detailing except for ivory-framed keyhole and two latches, painted gold. Interior of box is lined with red plush material. Box contains one touriquet, one curved sewing needle, one forceps, one small ebony-handled bone saw, one large ebony-handled bone saw, one ebony-handled hook, and one piece of cork. There is small compartment underneath bone saws, empty. Kit is missing at least four instruments.</mods:abstract>
<mods:note>The tools in this amputation kit were created by the firm of Evans in London, England. It was acquired by the Warren Anatomical Museum in April of 1914.</mods:note>
