The Department of Anatomy preserved a set of reprints of articles by its members for over fifty years. The article displayed here illustrates research with the electron microscope. This is the first article published by Elizabeth D. Hay from her research while a member of the Harvard faculty. Hay would later become the chair of the Department of Anatomy and was the first woman to hold the rank of full professor in a preclinical department at the Medical School.
