Letter from W. E. B. Du Bois to the Reverend E. Mdolomba
Description:
Suggesting "the organization and regular meetings of the natives" as the only probable solution to the "South African situation" -- "only in this way can you accomplish your freedom" -- encouraging him to "speak out frankly and fearlessly" and spread news of the situation to "the newspapers of England, America, and the Continent"; generally encouraging his efforts, and declaring "The time has come for the black man in Africa to assert himself."
