Memorandum from Mark H. McCormack concerning the Samsonite meeting of Tuesday, September 16, 1975 in Denver, Colorado
Description:
McCormack records notes from the Samsonite meeting he had with Dick Hanselman, Ben Schweder, Larry Pugh, and tohers in Denver, Colorado. He mentions that Ernie Lawrence and Bill Dragon are coming to New York on September 24th. They discussed Evonne Goolagong, the idea of a womens sports staff, the idea of giving an award to the woman Superstar winner, the World Series of Men's Tennis, and the concept of a womens ski race at Steamboat (a "World Championship of Ladies Ski" race). McCormack notes that Keith Neiman will become Marketing Director in October. He indicates the importance of their expenses getting covered on all trips to Denver, and notes that those he met with are looking for McCormack's people to lead and guide them as to how they might use Arnold Palmer, John Newcombe and the tohers.
