From left to right: Northeastern University President Richard M. Freeland, Unknown, and George Matthews, the former Chairman of the Northeastern Board of Trustees. Matthews donated the six-foot-long tusk depicting carvings of Buddha, etched by three generations of Chinese artists, to Snell Library.
