Oil painting of Winn children playing in a field and having a tea party on a large rock. There are seven children in the painting. In the center is a large rock with tea cups and plaes with small pastries. A boy wih blond hair in a black suit with red socks is sitting on the rock with a tea cup in his hand. Standing on the rock is a girl with blond hair and a blue hair ribbon wearing a grey dress; she is handing a tea cup to a girl with brown hair in a pink dress, who is sitting on the far side of the rock. A child with brown hair wearing a blue coat, blue striped socks, and a hat is climbing the rock and faced away from the viewer. On the ground beneath their feet is a red doll. Sitting on the ground on the left side of the painting a girl in a white dress and a hat with purple flowers is holding a doll, identified on back as Nina Louise. On the right side a boy in a brown suit, identified as Albert, has taken off his hat and is sitting with it in his lap. Lying in the hat is a black and white cat; another cat is in the Albert's lap looking into the hat. By his side are two sticks with a semi circle part on top. Behind him on the fence is a saw. Climbing the fence on the left side is a boy, indentified as Arthur Harold, who is wearing a hat, a white shirt, and brown pants but is not wearing any shoes or socks. In the background is more meadow area, with hills rising in the distance. Note attached read, "Arlington, Mass., 1881 - The Winn family; young Albert (with cats in hat) my father; Nina Louise (with doll, 4 [_lic_]) my aunt; Arthur Harold (tree climber) my uncle.
