Ten page letter from John W. Jefferson to Laurence L. Doggett dated September 22, 1918. In the letter Jefferson explains that he is in charge of many of the Y.M.C.A. huts in his area and then explains what he has been doing with them and how he has kept them running even with a shortage of man power to staff them.

John William Jefferson graduated in the class of 1917. After graduating he joined the service and worked with the Y.M.C.A. during WWI in Egypt, Syria, and Palestine. When the war ended he worked as a National Physical Director for Malay States, Singapore, and Straits Settlements until 1940. He would die the next year (1941) in Perlis, Malaya.
