Letter from Oliver W. Blake to his brother, Stephen P. Blake. Stephen is a sailor aboard the Brig Mars, and had last sent a letter from Mobile, Alabama. Oliver writes that he is glad that Stephen seems "enjoy good spirits, peace of mind", like "to catch porpoises". He also writes that he has grown and is "not much afraid of your being over my head". He then writes about Stephen decision to "follow the seal? or not", concluding that he should do what he desires. The end of letter discusses life at home.
