Description:

Broken glass This file contains raw footage of a man talking about Albuquerque's lack of centralizing principles which impacts the city's reputation. He argues that the city needs something to make us well known and break away from its boom town origins. The interview is conducted inside of the old Albuquerque High School building located on the Broadway and Central intersection. Interior shots of the rundown building are included as well. This is raw footage for ¡Colores! 502 "A City at the End of the World." V.B. Price shares his concerns and ideas about how the city of Albuquerque will grow and change as it enters a new century. He looks at Albuquerque with a loving eye, considering how the city's history, architecture, diverse cultures, environment and style of living -- the "personality" of Albuquerque -- will fare as it collides with unchecked future growth. Price wants to preserve the uniqueness that he found in Albuquerque when he left Los Angeles in 1958, seeking a "city at the end of the world."
