Notes:
Elmer Berry graduated from Springfield College in 1902 and was an instructor in anatomy, gymnastics, and athletics before receiving a MPE degree there in 1908. Later, he was a professor of physical education and physiology at the college. He received EdM and EdD degrees at Harvard University and was the author of several articles on physical education. In 1927, he was called to the National YMCA, College of Physical Education in Saidapet, Madras, India, and served as acting principal for two years. He retired from the YMCA service in 1939 after thirty-four years of service. He was a physical education professor at the State College of Washington and the University of Oregon and was presented with the Tarbell Medallion in 1947 for service
