  <mods:abstract>Black and white photographs of people in various locations on the Amherst College and University of Massachusetts Amherst campuses and in downtown Amherst taken in May 1973. Merrill Science Center, Lipton House, the W.E.B. Du Bois Library, and the Newman Catholic Center are among the buildings that can be seen in the images. People photographed are of varying ages and include students and a postal worker. These photographs were taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications). The name of the photographer is unknown.</mods:abstract>
