<mods:abstract>This photograph shows a class room of the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College. There can be seen 14 men seated while a professor lectures surrounded by bottles of most, presumably, chemical components, in what appears to be a Chemistry lab. The photograph is believed to be dated between 1904 and 1906, as J. T. Sellers, A. A. Mason, and L. E. Day, members of the Class of 1906, are identified in the image.</mods:abstract>
<mods:note>Louis Everit Day was born in Westchester, Connecticut. “He is best to known to all as a prodigy of learning. He was president of the Student Association. Lous has also a passion for oratory and when he is speaking one is reminded of a combination of a graphophone. Lou has a clear head and a strong grip. (Massasoit, 1906). Appleton Adams Mason, originally from Nova Scotia, was captain of class track team, president of the McKinley Literary Society and manager of the 1905 baseball team. He was also vicepresident of the Rough-House Committee. Joseph Tennyson Seller played varsity football in Middler year, captained the school ice hockey team in Senior year, “but his greatest honor was that conferred by his class he was appointed editor in chief ot this volume (Massasoit, 1906).</mods:note>
<mods:note>A penned caption on the back reads: "Classroom YMCA College".</mods:note>
