  <mods:abstract>A poster of the International YMCA College., now Springfield College describing it as a college for Training Christian physical directors. This poster, used in promotion of Springfield College, contains brief descriptions of course benefits, admission requirements, costs, and availability of positions upon graduation, as of 1917. The photographs included on this poster depict a panorama of the college grounds including the East and West Gymnasia, Woods Hall, Administration Building, and Library. Also pictured there can be seen the varsity football, baseball, basket ball, gymnastic and soccer teams of 1916, gates at the grand opening of the college's Pratt Athletic Field, Massasoit Lake and the Washington-Gladdin Boathouse, the McCurdy natatorium, and examples of a biology class and the "Junior class - Physical section". There can also be seen portraits of the College's "Representative Alumni", at the bottom center of the poster, include George F. Poole (Class of 1887), A. A. Stagg (Class of 1891), James H. McCurdy (Class of 1890), Fred H. Clapp (Class of 1915), and J. Henry Gray (Class of 1904).
