Description:
Grease-covered men with scarves around their mouths grip the greased pole and prepare to form a human ladder. They will climb up each other, standing on the shoulders of the men beneath them, as they attempt to reach the flag that is tied at the top. A policeman hovers nearby, and spectators crowd around to watch.
