Woman interviewing contestants in the Greased Pole contest at Festival Betances.
Description:
A woman holds a microphone towards a man whose cheek is covered in grease. He was presumably a contestant in the Festival Betances greased pole contest in which teams attempt to scale a grease-covered pole in order to reach the flag that has been tied dozens of feet in the air. He is surrounded by young women. The pole is visible behind them, as well as spectators who appear to be dispersing.
