National Night Out is an annual crime and drug prevention event held in communities all across the country. The event brings together local citizens, law enforcement, neighborhood organizations, and local officials in an effort to raise awareness of crime and to strengthen partnerships between police and communities. A man in a suit holds a microphone and addresses the assembled crowd. To his right is a policeman in uniform and an unidentified man in patterned shorts. To his left is a man wearing a Night Out shirt and next to him is a person wearing the costume of the mascot McGruff the Crime Dog.
