Guitar, from early to late 19th century with unknown maker, bought in Paris, France. The instrument was bought in Paris by an aunt of Ida Robbins, sold to donor's mother in 1889. Back and ribs or rosewood. Belly of spruce. Mechanical tuning pegs. There is a large crack down the back of the instrument. There is a decorative, striped purfling on the top and bottom where they connect to the sides. Only one string unbroken, some strings are inside the body.
