Billerica, Massachusetts: History captured on glass

Detail from:
H.W. Sheldon and sign
These images were taken by Natt Hutchins, a photographer from North Billerica, with the assistance of H. W. Sheldon. Together, they captured life in Billerica at the turn of the 20th century. Over 1000 images were captured on glass between the late 1890s and 1912. Both men were employees of the Talbot Mills in North Billerica, and many of the photographs depict the mill, its people, and its environs. Many others were taken throughout town. These images present a rare opportunity to look over 100 years into our past and see Billerica as she was.
