The Frank N. Fowler Postcard Collection is a rich compilation of historical information about various towns and cities in Massachusetts. Frank traveled around collecting postcards and then visiting the sights depicted in scenes on the cards. He met with and talked to local town people who told him wonderful stories of the town and the history of various buildings and places. Frank then compiled these stories together with the cards into 77 binders. Each postcard has some form of annotation written by Frank from his own research or from stories told to him. Some of the towns and cities represented include: Blandford, Chester, Deerfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Revere Beach, and Springfield. Also represented are Mt. Holyoke College, Smith College, UMASS, and Mt. Tom.
