This collection contains 66 carte-de-visite photographs of men and women, mostly identified on verso, taken by Salem (Mass.) and other photographers. Most seem to depict students from Salem Normal School. Six photographs depict Civil War officers. Some of the photographers identified include: Bousely (Salem), Andrew B. Cross (Salem), Jones (Salem), Carl Meinerth (Newburyport), J. W. & J. S. Moulton (Salem), Smith (Salem), Smith & Bousely (Salem), Taylor & Preston (Salem), and C. C. Gardner (Great Falls, NH).
