This is the collected archival material for Orvis Luey Hill, who was considered a pioneer in the early introduction and development of the automobile. He was the first person to own an automobile in Boston and its surrounding neighborhoods and was a Ford automobile dealer.
The collection consists of one container with the following material: One B/W photograph measuring 5.5 x 7.5 inches; four additional B/W photographs, one of which is a photograph of Hill's father in Civil War uniform; one B/W photograph measuring 4 x 2.5 inches; a wedding invitation; an obituary article for Orvis Luey Hill; and a two-page, typed eulogy for Orvis Luey Hill written by Douglas Chickering, Mr. Hill's grandson.
