Forbush Memorial Library Art and Artifacts Collection

or
Forbush Memorial Library, located at 118 Main St. in Westminster, Massachusetts, provides access to diverse resources, programs, and spaces. The staff welcomes everyone to explore, learn, and connect.

The library was built in 1902 with the help of a bequest from Charles A. Forbush in memory of his cousin Joseph W. Forbush. His will stipulated that the original design include a museum for the display of historical artifacts, items of local interest, and natural history specimens. The collection grew quickly from the early 20th century.

In addition to its physical collection, Forbush Memorial Library offers this online archive to serve as a comprehensive resource for viewing images of the entire art and artifact collection. This allows community members and researchers to explore Westminster's art, history, and culture from anywhere.
