Mosaic records and publication, 1980-1990

or
Mosaic was a student publication launched in 1980 at South Boston High School by Michael Tierney and Dan Terris in response to the effects of court-ordered desegregation on the school. Led by professional writers and photographers, students produced stories and photographs about themselves and their communities. A yearly anthology was published from 1980 to 1988 and exhibitions of the students’ photographs were displayed in locations around Boston. University Archives and Special Collections in the Joseph P. Healey Library at the University of Massachusetts Boston digitized the full 11-issue run of Mosaic.
