A reissue of STC 15978 (printed in 1532), with the first gathering reprinted to reflect the date of 1533.
The London bookseller John Growte (sometimes Groyat), had three editions of the Salisbury hours printed in Paris by Yolande Bonhomme, widow of Thielmann Kerver, between 1532 and 1534.
Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in early calfskin paneled in blind with earlier floral panel stamp laid into the front and back covers. Spine ruled in blind with date and title stamped in gilt. All text block edges gilt and gauffered. Armorial bookplate of John S. Pakington is present on front pastedown and that of William Pitt Amherst on front free endpaper. Housed in a tan cloth box and shelved with earlier blue goatskin box.

The oval woodcuts in the Calendar, appearing between leaves a4v and d1r, are signed with the Lorraine cross, which is the mark used by Geoffroy Tory.
