Iron cylinder with brass coating from Pemberton Mill
Description:
The artifact measures 4 cm in diameter and 6 cm long. Label attached on one end reads: “From the ruins of the Pemberton Mill Lawrence Jan 12, 1860.” The artifact is a cylinder of iron with coating of brass on the length. There are prongs on either end with a slight depression on each. There are also two circular holes on each end at the same location. It has not been determined yet what this piece of metal was used for in the Pemberton Mill.
