From catalogue raisonné: North Dome is a peak 2.41 km (1 1/2 miles) east-northeast of present-day Yosemite Village on the north side of Yosemite Valley with an elevation of 2,299 m (7,542 ft.) This view was made looking north-northeast toward North Dome, Royal Arches and Washington Column, and Mount Watkins. The reflection in the water makes up almost half the picture.
