<mods:abstract>This chair was created by a small community service group from Marshall Middle School in Billerica, Massachusetts. The chair aims to bring awareness of ocean pollution. Design took several months and involved collecting 75 bags of clothes for reuse, because the making of new clothes puts more plastic into the ocean. The group wrote a letter to the Town of Billerica supporting a plastic bag ban, and the group witnessed the narrow vote to support the ban after their letter was read.</mods:abstract>
