<mods:abstract>La Casa de Amistad is a non-profit organization that advocates for the rights and lives of immigrants in South Bend, Indiana. Approximately 12 girls worked on this chair. "Our seat represents our culture and we want people to understand that any kind of person from different states or countries such as Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, or the United States can accomplish anything. It's important to bring your seat to the table because it doesn't matter if you're different -- you should always be invited. We put wings on our chair because we are part of God and we are his Angels. We are flowers because we're blooming everyday."</mods:abstract>
