Built in 1856, this medium clipper ship was named for the record setting Yarmouth captain of the "Red Jacket" who was lost at sea when the steamship "Pacific" disappeared on the return trip of her maiden voyage to Liverpool earlier that year. Her first captain was Moses Rich Colman of Scituate, her second Levi Howes of Dennis; copy photograph made by Jim Carr of Dennis
