<mods:abstract>Directions for using [torn portion]. Silent Adjustable Tuck [torn portion]. As Applied to the Wheeler & Wilson Sewing Machine. First Premium Mechanics Institute Fair, San Francisco 1871. First Premium California State Fair, Sacramento, 1871. First Premium New England Fair, Providence 1874. Directions- When you wish to have a certain width of tuck meet the line of stitching place the gauge of the tucker just three times such width from the Creasing Notch and Blade, but if you wish a space between the tucks, place the Gauge just that much further distant from the Notch and Blade. To make the Tucker crease harder, for Thick Goods, turn the Cone over towards you until the desired pressure is obtained. The Rollers and other parts where friction occurs should be oiled occasionally. Manufactured by John H. Mooney, 90 Utica Street, Boston.</mods:abstract>
