Text: "The Mass. Charitable Mechanic Association, Miss Laura Bridgman for a beautiful bead purse. Exhibition of 1844." Image shows multiple views of the case and both sides of the medallion. One side of the coin is text and the other has a profile image of a seated woman with her arm around a small boy who holds a scroll. The woman leans against a wheel or other type of machinery.
