Holograph.
Anne Warren Weston describes an effort to get James Russell Lowell to speak at an anti-slavery meeting. Reports on the results of an Anti-Slavery Fair. Tells of family news and mentions a possible reception for Charles L. Remond. "M. G. C. [Mary G. Chapman?] has talked about Collins to everybody, just as to me. What mischief she will do I can't say."
There is a second manuscript with the Call No. Ms.A.9.2 v.5, p.56, written by an unknown person. It details resolutions from an anti-slavery society meeting. The resolutions pertain to William Lloyd Garrison's Liberator and the Society's approval of Sarah and Angelina Grimke's labors and commitment to the abolitionist cause.
