<mods:note>Anne W. Weston discusses Frederick Douglass and that his lecture in Weymouth gave great satisfaction though the church "looked on with distrust, saying that Douglass was got here to stop the Revival." She relates the proceedings of the local Female Anti-Slavery Society's meeting. She describes the preparations made for George Bradburn's stay at the Weston's house. The sewing meeting, also held at the house, was "a somewhat uproarious one, everybody being full of the Revival." Bradburn gave an excellent lecture to an audience which was not large, but of respectable size. A second lecture, at the Universalist house, was less well attended because it conflicted with a vestry meeting at Mr. Perkins. She describes Bradburn as a house guest. Discusses family financial affairs.</mods:note>
