Description:
Eastward movement of the 2007 breach in the barrier beach that connects Chappaquiddick to the Vineyard. When the breach reached the southeastern part of Katama Bay, it directed strongly erosive currents on Wasque’s south shore. By 2014 the barrier beach began extending past the western edge of Wasque.
