Max Reger (1873-1916) was a German composer, pianist, organist, conductor, and professor. He performed as a concert pianist and worked as the musical director at the Leipzig University Church. He also worked as a professor at the Royal Conservatory in Leipzig and served as the music director at the court of Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen.
