Discharge papers for Edward W. Curtis, private, Co. I, 88th Reg., Illinois Infantry Volunteers, enrolled Aug. 15, 1862, discharged June 16, 1865, Chattanooga, Tenn. Includes an envelope mailed to Edward in New York City, then forwarded to S.W. Kingsley, Hatfield, Mass.

Condition: Three punched holes and two staple holes, plus tape stain in top right corner, several smaller holes in lower sections; 2 horizontal folds, plus wrinkling along folds. Overall browned.
