Large house in right background. The Stickney estate is the current grounds of the Perkins School of the Blind. Josiah Stickney specialized in dahlias, which were a new variety of flowers. He also had orchards and fruit and flower gardens for which he hired many of the Crawford family members to cultivate. He almost left his estate to the Massachusetts Horticultural Society for experimental gardening. Look to the right behind the trees to see the house.
