<mods:abstract>Home of Edmund Blois at corner of Lexington and Main Streets. Edmund Blois lost his son in 1665 and his wife of sixty years, ten years later. He was the Meetinghouse verger. His original house burned in 1673. He also managed a tavern. He married a second time when he was 88 and the bride, Ruth Parsons was age 32. Ruth had experienced child abuse and rape and she had an infirmity - she had spells of trying to hurt herself. In November of 1679, the deacons "arranged suitable supplies" for them until Edmund's death two years later at the age of 94.</mods:abstract>
