Mrs. Frances H. Drake is sending some evergreen for trimmings. They will send from Leominster about forty-five dollars worth of articles. Drake has received enough material to increase the amount to 60 dollars, "but I cannot raise help for love or money. I now have to sit up till one o'clock to get them [the articles] ready. This will account for my tardiness." Drake says: "I am at times almost disheartened, when I see what I have to do with my poor feeble eyes, & my little ones to care for. I find it next to an impossibility for me to complete the work. The Fair opens a week earlier than I expected."
