<mods:note>Jane Elizabeth Hitchcock has written an article for the Liberty Bell on the other half of this sheet. Hitchcock said: "Our cause is making rapid progress in this state." One half of the Executive Committee of the Ohio [Anti-Slavery] Society have resigned and "now occupy the true Disunion ground." A letter from Abby Kelley [Foster] contains 67 new subscribers and nearly $200 in pledges obtained in the lower part of the state. Abby Kelley and Stephen Symonds Foster have now gone to the meeting of the Indiana State Anti-Slavery Society. Benjamin S. Jones and Jane E. Hitchcock hold meetings every week in the surrounding country and attend to the Anti-Slavery Bugle between times. She thinks it would be highly inexpedient to leave the state this winter.</mods:note>
